The secret to a spa-quality, deep facial cleanse is the double cleanse. The first cleanse removes surface dirt, sunscreen and makeup and allows the second cleanser to be much more effective and penetrate deeper into the follicle.
Step One: Pre-Cleanse
A pre-cleanse is what removes makeup, dirt and debris sitting on the surface of your skin. You can use a makeup remover or an oil based cleanser to tackle this task. Our gentle and effective pre-cleansers are the ideal first step in your skincare routine.
We developed an innovative, water-soluble oil blend in Essential Cleansing Oil of Safflower Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil and Orange Oil. The cleansing oil and the oils from the impurities on the skin attract one another. Then, when water is introduced, it dissolves, revealing your clean skin.
This luxurious feeling pre-cleanse is ideal for all skin types, including oily and combination skin because it helps balance skin while keeping congestion and breakouts at bay. For dry skin, Essential Cleansing Oil lifts away impurities while conditioning and softening.
For best results, apply a generous amount of oil to dry skin using dry hands with small, gentle circular movements. Introduce water to the mixture and continue to manipulate until you see the oil turn into a milky white emulsion. Rinse cleanse!
For a traditional eye makeup remover experience, you can instead pre-cleanse with Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. It is a thin, lightweight liquid that contains soothing, calming ingredients like Aloe Vera and Lavender. It has been both clinically and allergy tested to be non-irritating for the eyes.
To use, saturate two cotton pads with product and hold over the eye area for a few seconds to loosen stubborn eye makeup. Gently swipe across the eyes and lips for a gentle and effective cleanse.
Step Two: Cleanse
Now that your pre-cleanse has removed the day, your skin type specific cleanser will be even more effective. For Purifying Gel Cleanser for oily skin, Hydrating Gel Cleanser for combination skin, Conditioning Milk Cleanser for dry skin or Gentle Cream Cleanser for sensitive skin.
While your face is still wet from the pre-cleanse, work your cleanser into the skin and manipulate for about 60 seconds to get the full ingredient benefit. Rinse and softly pat dry, following with the rest of your skincare routine.
Adding a second cleanse to your routine adds just a couple minutes but can create a serious change in your skin. Try the double cleanse for a week, and you’ll see how clean your skin can be.
