How To: New Year's Eve Glamour

When it comes to New Year’s Eve, we love going all out with our look. Sure, staying home and relaxing can be great but getting made up to ring in the new year is hard to beat. While some of you may have had your outfits planned since Thanksgiving, we know there are a few of you who may still be searching for that perfect beauty look for your big night out.

For all three of the following looks, start with radiant skin. Cleanse and tone, then prep with the best moisturizer for your skin type. This enhances your natural radiance and gives you that coveted, lit-from-within glow. Follow with a primer and your favorite Glo Skin Beauty base, like Pressed Base or Luminous Liquid Foundation SPF 18. Finally, set your look for your desired finish. To keep your look semi-matte, choose Perfecting Powder; for a dewy glow, choose Luminous Setting Powder.

Monochrome

One of our favorite trends this season is the Monochromatic look, featuring a neutral wash of color across the eyes, cheeks and lips. With an understated beauty look, you can have a little more fun with your outfit. Think sequins, and lots of them.

Eyes

1. Apply Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Canyon to lid and lower lashline. Blend with 304 Dual Fiber Eye and 306 Detail Blender.
2. Apply a mixture of Cream Stay Shadow Sticks in Solstice and Halo onto inner corner of eye and brow bone. Blend with fingers.
3. Coat upper and lower lashes with a bold mascara, like Volumizing Mascara.
4. Line inner waterline with Precision Eye Pencil in Peach.

Cheek

1. Add soft sculpt and depth to contours of face with Contour 1 and 2 from Contour Kit using 107 Contour/Highlighter.
2. Add a mixture of Cream Blush in Fig and Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Canyon to apples of cheeks. Blend with 203 Dual Fiber Cheek.
3. Highlight the high points of the face with Shimmer Highlight from Contour Kit using 201 Fan Highlighter.

Lip

1. Line and fill lips with a mixture of Precision Lip Pencil in Natural and Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Canyon.
2. Apply Lipstick in Zen (available Jan 2019) on top.

Runway Solstice

Another go-to look for the holidays? Bronzed. To make it really stand out, pair it with an edgy lip. Go for an all black ensemble to really make your statement pop.

Eye

1. Apply Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Solstice to entire lid and lower lashline.
2. Pat Eye Shadow in Locket on top with 301 Eye Base.
3. Tightline upper lashline with Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Bonbon.
4. Coat upper and lower lashes with Lash Thickener & Conditioner and Volumizing Mascara.

Cheek

1. Add natural depth to apples of cheeks with Cream Blush in Warmth using 203 Dual Fiber Cheek.
2. Top with Contour 1 and 2 from Contour Kit using 107 Contour/Highlighter.
3. Highlight high points of face with Shimmer Highlight from Contour Kit with 201 Fan Highlighter.

Lip

1. Line and fill lips with Precision Lip Pencil in Rave (available as a single, Jan 2019).
2. Apply Lipstick in Runway (available as a single, Jan 2019) on top using 401 Precision Lip.

Scotch Bonbon

Our final holiday look combines stunning reds and browns for a sultry feel. Match it with a burgundy jumpsuit to pull in some of Scotch’s warm tones without being too matchy.

Eye

1. Apply Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Bonbon to lower lid, lower lashline and waterline. Blend with 301 Eye Base.
2. Apply Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Scotch to entire lid and lower lashline. Lightly blend with 304 Dual Fiber Eye.
3. Highlight center of lid, inner corner of eye and brow bone with Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Solstice. Pat with finger to blend.
4. Coat upper and lower lashes with Volumizing Mascara.

Cheek

1. Add contour and depth to cheeks with Bronze in Sunkiss using 202 Power Blush.
2. Lightly dust Shimmer Brick in Luster to high points of face with tapered end of 107 Contour/Highlighter.

Lip

1. Line and fill lips with Precision Lip Pencil in Rave (available as a single, Jan 2019).
2. Apply Lipstick Runway on top (available as a single, Jan 2019).
