Guest post by glo employee and bride-to-be, Amy Foster.
First, let me just say that while fun, exciting and fulfilling, planning a wedding is hard work! I’d heard it a thousand times from brides and they were right! I am so thankful for my monthly skin care appointments with Amanda, glo’s National Educator, where I get to take time to relax, feel pampered and do something good for my skin.
I’m not sure if it’s the added stress or the change in seasons, but my skin has definitely been acting up over the past weeks. Amanda created this customized treatment to help balance and moisturize my skin - just what I needed!
First, Amanda removed my makeup using the Essential Cleansing Oil. This pre-cleanse is an amazing product that I also added to my nightly skincare routine. I love how gently it removes my makeup. Next, Amanda thoroughly cleansed my skin with our brand new Gentle Cream Cleanser. This cleanser removes any additional trace of makeup and is perfect for sensitive skin like mine. She followed the cleanser with a few spritzes of our new Calming Flower Mist to tone my skin.
Amanda wanted to take a gentle approach for my first peel in the series. First, she applied two layers of the Pro 5 Exfoliant* to help prep my skin for the chemical exfoliant. She then selected glo therapeutics Flower Enzyme* to remove dead skin cell buildup with fruit acids and flower enzymes. Bonus: it smells fantastic!
She applied the Flower Enzyme* with a Fan Mask Brush and left it on with steam for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes was up she turned off the steam and removed the peel with a cool, steamed towel and applied the Cucumber Recovery Mask to soothe my skin and replenish moisture.
Once completely removed, she applied our Cyto-luxe Hydration+ to help boost my skin’s water content and then applied Cyto-luxe Eye Serum (another one of my favorite products!) with her ring finger to assist with dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles.
For even more moisture (I have very dry skin!), she applied our Balancing Moisture Remedy.
Over the next couple of days my skin looked and felt healthy, nourished and hydrated. While the Flower Enzyme is technically a peel there was no peeling. I think this would be a great treatment, not only for brides-to-be who don’t want a lot of down time after a treatment, but for anyone who is new to peels and professional treatments!
