Meet Amanda: glo National Educator
For those of you who have attended a glo therapeutics workshop recently you’ve already had the pleasure of meeting the newest member of the glo Education Team - Amanda von dem Hagen. Amanda first came to glo a little over two years ago as a licensed esthetician with over eight years of experience as well as a BS in Business Marketing. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable about the glo therapeutics line, she is a talented makeup artist and glo minerals connoisseur. To help you get to know Amanda we asked her to answer a few questions about her experience, glo workshops and her go-to beauty products.
What do you love about working in the beauty and skincare industry?
Amanda: I love that the beauty and skincare industry is constantly changing. It is impossible to know everything about it, so I just keep exploring, experimenting, and educating myself. I also love that a good skincare routine and makeup application can improve your confidence.
As a licensed esthetician, what inspired you to pursue a career in the beauty and skincare industry?
Amanda: As soon as I received my first facial at the age of 14, I knew I was destined for a career in the industry. I fell in love with makeup and skincare and I know that it's a love that lasts.
What can someone attending a glo workshop expect?
Amanda: Excitement! A glo workshop not only covers our products and applications but we also share valuable information on customization and retailing. You will leave the workshop ready to use the products on your clients and be able to retail them to everyone that walks through your door!
What are some of your favorite products and why?
Cyto-luxe Cleanser - It cleanses without drying out your skin AND has a plant stem cell that reduces wrinkles. What could be better? Renew Serum - The Magician. I apply this at night when I see a clogged pore becoming inflamed and when I wake up in the morning, it's gone. Cyto-luxe Hydration + - With Dermatein HyA Mini, this hydrator penetrates further into the skin than a normal hyaluronic acid so your skin is not only moisturized, it's plumped. Moisturizing Tint SPF 30+ - I wear this product daily either alone or under one of our foundations. It gives me the sun protection I desire with a great amount of coverage! Luxe Liquid Foundation SPF 15 - You're basically wearing diamonds, and diamonds are a girls best friend. Lash Thickener & Conditioner - I use this product before mascara application to condition the lashes. It adds volume and length to your lashes so the mascara looks even better than when applied alone. Face Primer - It feels amazing and creates the perfect canvas for my foundation.
What's the best beauty advice you were ever given?
