Skincare Advice For Your 30s

For most women by the time you turn 30, the first signs of aging begin to appear.  We’re not trying to scare you but this is the time of your life when you’ll really want to give your skin care habits an extra boost. Because your skin goes through several changes during your 30s, you’ll want to change your habits to reflect new concerns such as the appearance of fine lines and dull skin.

The cleanser you used in your 20s may still work in your 30s, so that’s not always a product you need to change, but the moisturizer that you have been using for years may need an upgrade. Your skin will most likely feel a little less hydrated, so you will want to look for a more moisturizing cream like our Restorative Cream. Bonus: our Restorative Cream has an ingredient that helps reduce pigmentation and is loaded with antioxidants!

A common concern with people in their 30s is dull-looking skin. What product will help with dull skin?  I love using a scrub like our Brightening Polish for both the physical scrub results and its brightening qualities. Just be sure you never overdo a scrub and only use this 1-2 times per week.

As we age, our cell turnover tends to slow down, so using a product with Retinol will help regulate your cells and keep them acting as youthful as possible. Choosing a retinol serum with some hydroxy acids will be extremely beneficial too. I highly recommend our Retinol Smoothing Serum. This powerful serum not only has retinol, but also has glycolic acid to help with exfoliation and gallic acid to help with brightening. If you are prone to breakouts, the Renew Serum is a great option as well. You can use these every night, but when first starting to use them I recommend every other night.

Vitamin C is a gold standard skincare ingredient and your 30s is the perfect time to start using it if you haven’t been already. Daily Power C or Daily Power C+ are great options to help fight the first signs and causes of aging.

Vitamin C is meant to be paired with Hyaluronic Acid, so I would also recommend adding Daily Hydration or Daily Hydration+ to your morning routine.

Where do most people see their first wrinkle? Around their eyes! Which is why using a great eye product in your 30s is essential. Eye Restore is an ideal eye product to start with; it will help improve fine lines, puffiness, and restore your skin’s texture.

Don’t forget to wear sunscreen every day and remember that what you put into your body affects the way your skin looks - keep the antioxidant intake (berries, vegetables) high!
